About St. Patrick's School
St. Patrick’s School was established in the Boy’s Club, Island Road, Enniscorthy in 1967.
The present school at Bohreen Hill was built in 1969. Outreach classes were set up in St. John of God House, Enniscorthy in 1995 and in Ard Aoibhinn, Clonard, Wexford in 1997. These eventually closed and the school operated on two sites in Enniscorthy, Bohreen Hill and Pearse Road. In April 2021 St. Patrick's took delivery of its new premises in Drumgoold, Enniscorthy. After eighteen years St. Patrick's will once again be on the same campus.

St. Patrick’s School caters for children from 4 –18 years from county Wexford and south county Wicklow.

Staffing

The school staff compromises of 32 teachers. There are 54 S.N.A.’s, 5 Nurses, Secretary, Caretaker, two Cleaners, Bus Driver and a Cook employed on the staff. Escorts are employed on the school buses which are funded by the Department of Education and Skills.

The HSE also provides an input into the well being of the students with Section 39 grant funds. It enables the B.O.M. to employ nursing staff. HSE provides the following professionals: Occupational Therapists, Psychologist, Child Psychiatrist and Nurse Liaison Counsellor provide a service on a sessional basis. Access to Speech & Language Therapists and a Physiotherapist is via the PDS Service.

School hours for the students are 9.10 a.m. to 2.50p.m.
